Bridge Cottage
Bridge Cottage is our place in Hornick, near St Austell. It's a four bedroom cottage. Sleeps seven, has two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The cottage is on a quiet lane by a little stream. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's parking for two cars on the gravel area at the front.
Inside, it's a normal family house layout. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a woodburning stove in the living room. We provide the bedding and towels. WiFi works, but it's the countryside, so it's not super fast.
The nearest shop is about a mile away in the village. There's a pub and a restaurant within walking distance, maybe half a mile.
For beaches, Porthpean is the closest, about four miles. It's a sandy beach with cliffs. Charlestown Harbour is very close too. It's a proper old port, they've filmed Poldark there.
The big attractions are right here. The Eden Project is just over three miles away. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about the same distance. Both are a full day out.
You can get to Mevagissey or Fowey in under half an hour by car. Truro is about a 25 minute drive. Further places like Padstow or St Ives are more like an hour, depending on traffic.
We accept up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a highchair and a travel cot available if you need them.
