Flat 18 Pochin House is in St Austell. It's a modern apartment on the first floor of a private complex, so you go through an electric gate to get to your parking space. Then it's a short flight of stairs up to the door.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed with an en-suite shower room, the other has twin beds. There's a second family bathroom with a bath and shower over it. The rating is 4 Star.
The living room has plenty of seating. The kitchen and dining area is very bright because of the big windows, and it looks out over the grounds. There's a separate utility room with the washing machine. It's all clean and comfortable.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a dishwasher, WiFi, a TV, and your own parking spot.
The complex has an old industrial chimney in the grounds from the clay mining days. It's a reminder of what the area was built on.
St Austell itself has shops and places to eat. The coast is close. Carlyon Bay and Par Sands are the nearest beaches, about a ten minute drive. Charlestown is interesting, it's a historic port with tall ships and a shipwreck museum.
The big local attraction is the Eden Project, which is about a ten minute drive away. The clay mining museum, Wheal Martyn, is also nearby if you're curious about the local history.
For a day out, Fowey is a lovely town on the water about twenty minutes away. You're also within easy reach of the south coast and the South West Coast Path.
