The Steps is an apartment above the Ship Inn in Pentewan. It's first floor and you get to it by its own set of stone steps outside, hence the name.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a bath and shower over it. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The living area is open plan with the kitchen. The kitchen has what you need for breakfast or a simple meal.
You should know it's above a pub. There's a bedroom and bathroom at the back, which helps, but you will hear some noise from the pub during the day and evenings. The stairs to the apartment are fairly steep, typical for old buildings here.
Pentewan beach is about a two minute walk. It's a good stretch of sand. The harbour is quiet now. The South West Coast Path is right there for walking.
Mevagissey is a couple of miles away. It's a proper old fishing village with narrow streets and a working harbour. Charlestown is about the same distance the other way. That's the harbour you see in films like Poldark, with the tall ships.
St Austell is about ten minutes by car for bigger shops. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a fifteen minute drive. The Eden Project is about twenty minutes away.
Facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. No pets, sorry.
