The Gallery
The Gallery is our place just outside Mevagissey. It’s a detached single-storey building next to our house, but you’ve got your own door and it’s completely private. It’s for two people.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the sea. The sunrises across the bay are really something. You get your own garden too, which is part of a bigger three-quarter acre plot.
Inside, it’s one bedroom and one bathroom. It’s got a five star rating, which means it’s well equipped and finished to a high standard. There’s underfloor heating and a woodburning stove. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. We’ve also put in an electric vehicle charger.
The South West Coast Path runs close by. You can walk east into Mevagissey harbour in about 25 minutes, or west to Gorran Haven. From Mevagissey you can get fishing trips or the ferry over to Fowey.
The local pub is a five minute walk. The nearest shop is about half a mile. For a bigger shop, you’d drive into Mevagissey or St Austell.
You’re well placed for the main attractions. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are very close. The Eden Project is about a 20 minute drive. Truro is roughly half an hour. There’s sailing, kayaking, and golf nearby if that’s your thing.
We allow one well-behaved dog. There’s parking right outside. All bedding and towels are included.
