Seatons Rest is an apartment in Portmellon, right by Mevagissey in Cornwall. It’s literally about 200 yards from the beach at Portmellon Cove. You get a parking space for two cars.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin, and one wet room bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, so it’s well looked after. The whole place has underfloor heating which is good for cooler weather. There’s a wood burner in the living area too.
The layout is open plan downstairs. Kitchen, dining table, and living area all in one room. The stairs are a standard flight. The decking outside is raised up, so you get a bit of a view over the parking area towards the sea.
Portmellon itself is small. There’s a pub right on the cove that does food. The beach is sandy and shingle. You can walk the coastal path from there.
Mevagissey harbour is about a ten minute drive. It’s a proper working fishing port with the usual shops and pasty places. St Austell is about fifteen minutes away for bigger supermarkets.
For a day out, the Eden Project is maybe twenty minutes by car. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are even closer, just outside Mevagissey. The Roseland Peninsula is a nice drive, or you can get the ferry from Fowey over to Polruan.
The apartment has WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
