Hewas Water House is near St Austell in Cornwall, about halfway between the town and the coast. It's a detached house, quite modern and square. Sleeps ten, five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a five star rating, so it's well equipped and finished to a high standard.
The main thing is the pool. It's indoors, heated, and for your use only. It's a proper swimming pool, not a plunge pool. There's a safety cover on it when it's not in use.
The garden is enclosed. It's mostly lawn, with a patio area by the house. You get the sun in the afternoon.
Inside, it's spacious. The kitchen is big, with a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove in the living room. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. WiFi works fine.
You're out in the countryside here. The village shop and pub is about a mile and a quarter away. You can walk to it down the lanes if you don't mind a hill.
The closest beaches are Porthpean and Pentewan Sands. Both about fifteen minutes by car. Pentewan has a long flat beach and a cycle path that goes into St Austell. St Austell is ten minutes away, for supermarkets, a cinema, that sort of thing.
For a day out, the Eden Project is very close. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are near Mevagissey. Mevagissey itself is a fishing village, good for crab sandwiches. Charlestown harbour is a short drive, it's where they filmed some of Poldark.
Further afield, Truro is twenty minutes. The Roseland Peninsula, with its beaches like Carne and Pendower, is about half an hour's drive.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for several cars on the driveway.
