Dawn Cottage
This is Dawn Cottage. It’s in Mevagissey, right on the coastal road. The sea is about five yards from your front door. You can watch the boats from the window.
It’s a small place for three people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they’re a bit steep and narrow. There’s a stairgate at the bottom if you need it.
You’ve got a little patio garden out the front. It gets the sun in the morning. The beach at Portmellon is sandy and it’s about 50 yards along the road. The village pub is seasonal, so it’s not open all year.
Mevagissey itself is a ten minute walk along the coast path. It’s a proper old fishing harbour. There are pubs, fish and chips, shops, and you can get on a fishing trip from there. You don’t really need a car once you’re here. If you do have one, there’s parking.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about two miles away. The Eden Project is about a twenty minute drive. For a longer walk, you can pick up the South West Coast Path either way from the door.
Inside, there’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. The place is decorated for Christmas if you book over the holidays.
