Dawn Cottage is in Mevagissey. It's on the Portmellon road, right by the sea. When they say five yards, they mean it. You can see the water from the front.
It's an old place, 18th century, but it's been restored. It sleeps three because it's just the one bedroom upstairs. There's one bathroom. We've got a 4 Star rating.
You can walk into Mevagissey harbour in less than ten minutes. That's where the shops and pubs and restaurants are. The proper village pub is seasonal, about fifty yards up the road the other way.
The beach is sandy and it's just there, across the road. It's good for swimming if you don't mind it being a bit rocky. Good for fishing too if that's your thing.
You're on the coast path so the walking is easy to find. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a couple of miles away. The Eden Project is about a fifteen minute drive, near St Austell. You'll really need a car here, the buses aren't great.
What you get: there's a small patio garden. It's got a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi, TV. Bedding is included. We can take one well-behaved dog. There's a stairgate for kids.
