The Gables
The Gables is in Gorran Haven. It's a proper little Cornish fishing village. The cottage is about a minute's walk from the beach, which is sandy and shelves gently. Good for swimming.
It sleeps four, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which we put in a few years ago. It has underfloor heating and a decent shower. The stairs are a bit steep, as they are in a lot of these old places.
The kitchen has what you need, but to be honest, the chip shop here is very good. There's a shop and a pub about five minutes walk away. You're sorted for basics.
We leave some beach stuff in the outhouse: bodyboards, a bucket and spade, that sort of thing. They're there if you want them.
Out the back, the coastal path goes up the cliff. You can walk to Dodman Point one way or down towards Mevagissey the other. The views are incredible.
Mevagissey is about ten minutes' drive. It's a busy little harbour. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are maybe fifteen minutes away. The Eden Project is about half an hour's drive inland. Further along, you've got Fowey and St Mawes, which are nice for a day out.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
