The Gables
The Gables is in Gorran Haven. It's a short walk to the beach, maybe 60 seconds. It's sandy and the water shelves gently, so it's good for paddling and swimming. There's a little stream on the beach that kids seem to like.
The cottage sleeps four, across three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which we've recently redone. It has a proper walk-in shower with two settings, and underfloor heating. The air filtration system is new, which helps if you have allergies.
It's a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are relatively steep, but typical for a cottage around here.
Everything you'd need is included: bedding, towels, washing machine, dishwasher, wifi. There's a cot and highchair in the cupboard if you need them. We can take one well-behaved dog.
Gorran Haven itself is small. There's a good local shop, a fish and chip shop, a couple of cafes, and a pub that does food about five minutes' walk away. You can easily not cook if you don't want to.
You're right on the South West Coast Path. The path up behind the house gives you access to some fantastic cliff walks. Mevagissey harbour is a short drive, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about a 15-minute drive. The Eden Project is about 25 minutes by car. For a longer day out, Fowey or St Mawes are within half an hour.
