Bian Bosdinek is in Mevagissey, up on the hill. It's detached, which is a bit of a bonus down here.
It sleeps six, over three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a four star rating, so it's comfortable. I'd call it updated but not brand new. The refurbishment was done a few years back.
The main thing is the view. The front bedrooms and the dining room look straight out over the village roofs to the harbour and the sea. You can sit and watch the boats.
The layout is over three floors. The kitchen and living room are on the ground floor. Two bedrooms and the family bathroom are on the first floor. The third bedroom is up another flight of stairs on the second floor.
There's a garden up behind the house. It's terraced into the hillside, so there are a few steps and levels to it. It's got a decked area with a table and a bench higher up. It's not a massive lawn for running around, but it's private and it catches the sun.
Mevagissey itself is about a five or ten minute walk downhill. It's a proper old fishing harbour. There are shops, pubs, fish and chips, the usual stuff. The beach is there too.
For days out, the Lost Gardens of Heligan are very close, maybe five minutes in the car. The Eden Project is about twenty minutes away. There are plenty of other beaches along the coast. If you're a walker, the South West Coast Path goes right through.
For facilities: there's parking at the house, which is crucial. WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a wood burner but you have to buy your own logs locally. No pets, sorry.
