Gwel Golf
Gwel Golf is a barn conversion on Higher Porthpean. The main thing you notice is the view. It looks straight out over St Austell Bay towards Fowey. The living area and the main bedroom upstairs both face that way.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. It's well looked after and has everything you'd need. There's a parking space.
The terrace faces south-east, so you get the sun. There's a bit of a courtyard at the back. At the front, there's an open grassed area right by the 17th fairway of the golf course.
Porthpean Beach is a few hundred metres down the hill. It's sandy and sheltered. Good for families. You can walk to the clubhouse from the cottage. The golf is reasonably priced and they do food.
You're well placed for the big attractions. The Eden Project is just east of St Austell. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a short drive. The Roseland Peninsula with its fishing villages is within half an hour. Newquay and its beaches are about the same distance the other way.
For facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
