Gwel Golf
Gwel Golf is a barn conversion in Higher Porthpean, Cornwall. It's on the side of a hill above St Austell. You get a good view of the bay from here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It feels clean and solid.
The main living room and kitchen are open plan, and the main bedroom is upstairs. They all face the sea, so you get the view. There are doors out onto a terrace. It faces south-east, so you get the morning sun.
You get one parking space. There's a small courtyard at the back. At the front, the garden is just an open grass area that runs right up to the golf course fairway. The property is built into the course, really.
Porthpean Beach is a few hundred yards down the hill. It's sandy and sheltered. Good for families. The golf clubhouse is a short walk away. The golf is quite affordable and they do food and drink.
For days out, The Eden Project is about ten minutes drive east. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are maybe twenty minutes south-west. You can get to the Roseland Peninsula, places like St Mawes, in under half an hour. Newquay and its surfing beaches are about half an hour north.
It has the things you'd expect: a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
