Old Orchard Cottage is in Trethurgy. It’s a semi-detached place, next to our house. We’re just over a mile from the Eden Project by car, or you can walk it in about half an hour using the clay trails.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. Everything’s on one level. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well-kept and comfortable. The living room has French doors that open onto the garden.
You get a private, enclosed courtyard garden. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There’s parking right outside the cottage.
The Eden Project is the big thing here. It’s a short drive or a decent walk. Knightor Winery is walkable too, they do tours and Sunday lunches. The clay trails start practically on the doorstep if you like walking.
St Austell Bay is a few minutes’ drive for the coast. Charlestown harbour is there with the old ships. Truro is about a fifteen minute drive for the cathedral and shops.
For facilities: there’s a washing machine, TV, WiFi, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There’s on-site parking. No pets, I’m afraid.
