Millys Nook is a semi-detached cottage next to our house on a quiet lane just off the main road into St Austell. It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other a single. The bathroom has a shower, no bath.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, comfortable, and everything works, but it's not a luxury finish. The garden is enclosed and gets the sun in the afternoon. There's parking right outside the gate.
You're about two miles from Porthpean beach. It's a small cove with sand and shingle, good for a swim if you don't mind the water being bracing. Duporth and Carlyon Bay are a bit further along the coast.
The town centre is a ten-minute walk. There's a supermarket, a few pubs that do food, and the usual takeaways. The cinema and bowling are there too if the weather turns.
For a day out, the Eden Project is about ten minutes' drive. You need to book that in advance. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about fifteen minutes away. Both are worth a visit.
Charlestown harbour is a couple of miles down the road. It's a historic port with tall ships, and you can walk around it for free. Mevagissey is a twenty-minute drive, a proper old fishing village with a harbour. Fowey is about the same, good for a wander and a pasty.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
For planning walks or finding other places to visit, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, and so is Visit Cornwall.
