The Pool House

The Pool House is in Tywardreath. It's behind our house, so you'll see us coming and going sometimes. It's detached, so it's quiet.

It's a one-bedroom place, just for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean and comfortable.

The main thing is the space. The living area is open plan and feels bigger than you might expect. It leads straight out into your own courtyard garden. It's enclosed and gets the sun in the afternoon.

You're right in the village. The local shop is decent, and the pub is about a three minute walk. It's a proper village pub with food.

For the beach, Par Sands is half a mile down the hill. It's sandy and good for a walk. From there you can get onto the coast path. Fowey is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a lovely little town with cafes and boats. You can get a ferry across to Polruan from there.

If you want to go out for the day, the Eden Project is about a twenty minute drive. Lanhydrock house and its woods are a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes. You can walk or cycle there.

Practically speaking: everything's on one level, which is handy. There's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park on the drive. We allow one dog.

There's also a shared swimming pool. It's outdoors and heated, so it's usable from May to September, weather depending. We'll give you the key when you arrive.

One useful thing: Par train station is a short walk away. So if you want to go to St Austell or further without the car, it's an option.
