Anchor Loft
Anchor Loft is in Fowey, up the hill from the main town. It's a maisonette, so it's over two floors. The main thing is the view. You look right out over the estuary from the front.
It sleeps six in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. It's clean and well looked after, not particularly old-fashioned. The stairs are standard for this sort of property, nothing unusual.
You get one dedicated parking space in a shared garage, which is a real help in Fowey. There's a balcony off the living area for the view, and two decked patio areas that are sheltered.
It's about a ten minute walk down to Readymoney Cove, which is a sandy beach. The town centre is about twenty minutes on foot. Being up the hill means you avoid the narrow one-way streets in the town, which makes coming and going easier. There's a town bus that runs during the day if you don't fancy the walk back up.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's an enclosed garden/patio area and a BBQ.
For things to do, the National Trust has several properties nearby like Lanhydrock. The South West Coast Path runs right through. For sailing and ferry trips, the Fowey Harbour website has information. Polperro is about a 20 minute drive along the coast, and the Eden Project is roughly a 25 minute drive.
