Dayan Cottage is in Fowey town centre. It’s on the ground and first floor of a stone building, with another flat above.
Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. Sleeps three. It’s been done up nicely inside but still has the old windows and stone walls. I’d call it comfortable, not fancy. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
The kitchen has everything: dishwasher, washing machine, fridge. Bedding and towels are included, and there’s wifi.
You’re about two minutes’ walk from the harbour and the main shops and pubs. You really don’t need the car. Readymoney Cove, which is a sandy beach, is a ten to fifteen minute walk down the hill.
For bigger days out, the National Trust has a lot of coastal places nearby like Polperro and Lantic Bay. The South West Coast Path runs right through Fowey if you like walking. You can get the ferry over to Polruan from the town quay.
It’s all on the level from the cottage into town, but the walk back is up a hill. The beach walk is downhill going, uphill coming back. Just so you know.
No pets, sorry.
