This is the Waterfront Apartment in Fowey. It's a first-floor flat above a restaurant called Haveners.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. We take one well-behaved dog. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main thing is the view. You face south over the harbour and straight out to sea. The living room and the big balcony get the sun. You can sit out there and watch the boats. It's very peaceful.
Being above a restaurant has its pros and cons. It's a St Austell Brewery place, so it's decent. The food is good if you fancy a meal downstairs. You might hear some normal background noise in the evenings, but it's not a late-night spot.
You're right on the water. You can walk straight out the door and along the harbour front. Fowey itself is all there, shops, pubs, the ferries. You don't really need the car.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. The balcony is your outdoor space.
For days out, the National Trust has a lot of places nearby like Lanhydrock. You can get the ferry across to Polruan and walk the coast path. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are both about a 30-minute drive.
