This is Poundhouse. It's on the Lanwithan Estate near Lostwithiel. The building used to be part of the old estate workings, for laundry and cider. It's a ground floor cottage.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed, the other has twins. There's one bathroom with a bath and an electric shower over it. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The kitchen is open plan with the dining area. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living room is next to it. The furniture is good, you won't be perching on something uncomfortable.
Outside, there's a large, enclosed garden that's shared with the other cottages here. It looks out over the fields towards the Fowey Valley. The gardens and woodland paths on the estate are proper old ones, with big trees. You're welcome to walk around them.
Lostwithiel is about a fifteen minute walk. It's an old town on the river. There are a few antique shops, a couple of pubs, a Co-op, and a good pasty shop. The river walk is nice.
You're in a decent spot for getting about. The Eden Project is about a 20 minute drive. Fowey is 20 minutes the other way, for boats and restaurants. The beach at Par Sands is ten minutes by car. For a longer stretch of sand, try Carlyon Bay or the beaches near Mevagissey, which are all within half an hour.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, parking right outside, bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a cot if you need it.
