Tarquins
Tarquins is one of four apartments in a building called Square Rig. It's on the lower ground floor. You get the best feature straight away, it's right on the River Fowey. You can watch the boats from the patio.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles I think, and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The building has a shared games room and some kayaks and a rowing boat you can use. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all that stuff. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if you need one. No pets allowed, sorry.
Fowey town centre is a short walk up the hill. There are pubs, restaurants, shops, the usual for a Cornish harbour town. The local National Trust page is good for planning.
You can catch ferries from Fowey over to Bodinnick or Polruan. The Hall Walk on the other side is a great circuit with good views back across the estuary. Boat trips run from the harbour too.
If you drive, the Eden Project is about 20 minutes away. Lanhydrock House is maybe 25 minutes. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about half an hour. All of that is easily doable for a day out.
That's about it really. It's a good spot if you want to be by the water and walk into town.
