This is St Catherine’s Court No 7, in Fowey. It's a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a big Victorian house that’s been split up. It’s just for two people.
The main thing is the view from the living room. There’s a big bay window and you look right out over the river, across to Polruan, and out to sea. You can see a bit of the river from the bedroom too.
It’s got a 3 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable, not luxurious. It’s centrally heated so it’s warm. The kitchen has what you’ll need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a TV and WiFi. You can park on site.
Location is good. You’re about a five-minute walk down to Readymoney Cove, which is a sandy beach. Turn the other way and it’s about ten minutes on foot into the centre of Fowey, with all the shops and pubs. You don’t really need the car if you’re just popping out.
For a longer walk, you can pick up the South West Coast Path. The National Trust has a few sites nearby, like Lanhydrock, which is about a 20-minute drive. The local golf course is Fowey Golf Club, just up the road.
No pets, I’m afraid.
