Fairmaiden
Fairmaiden is in Polruan, which is across the river from Fowey. It's a terraced cottage partway up the hill, so you're looking out over the rooftops towards the water.
It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and in good order. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed patio garden out the back with a table and a BBQ. Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, and the usual things like a washing machine and dishwasher. WiFi is there, and bedding and towels are included.
Polruan is small. There's a local pub, and you can walk down to the ferry that goes across to Fowey. It's a five-minute trip. Fowey has more shops, places to eat, and a post office.
You're right on the South West Coast Path here. One way takes you along the river towards Bodinnick, the other way goes out towards Lantic Bay. It's proper walking country.
For a day out, you're about half an hour from the Eden Project. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are similar, maybe 40 minutes. Charlestown, with its old ships, is about 20 minutes by car.
