Lower Deck
Lower Deck is a one bedroom apartment in Fowey. It's for two people. You get a balcony that looks over the river. The view is good.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well kept. There's one bathroom. The bed is a double.
The apartment is part of a bigger building called The Square Rig. The car park is nearby, about a five minute walk on the flat. From there, you're basically in the middle of town. The shops, pubs and the quay are all a couple of minutes away.
The town is small and everything slopes down to the water. There are galleries, gift shops and cafes. It's busy in the summer.
You can see a lot from the river. There are birds, sometimes seals. You might see dolphins if you're lucky. You can get boat trips from the harbour. There's a ferry across to Polruan or up to Bodinnick. The walk from Polruan, the Hall Walk, is very good. It follows the estuary. National Trust Fowey Estuary.
Fowey has a regatta in August. The author Daphne du Maurier lived here. Some people say the river was an inspiration for The Wind in the Willows.
What's here: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a shared games room in the building. No pets.
If you drive, The Eden Project is about 20 minutes away. The Eden Project. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about half an hour. Lanhydrock House is a similar distance. The coast path is right there if you want to walk.
