This is Linhay. It's on a farm complex near Trecangate, a short drive from Looe and Talland Bay. You come down a long, tree-lined track to get to it, which feels nice and private.
It's one of a few cottages and a lodge on the same farm. You're renting Linhay itself. The other properties are separate, but you can book them together if you're in a big group. It's a stone cottage with three bedrooms and sleeps five. There's one bathroom.
The view from the cottage is over fields and countryside, south towards the coast. You'll see buzzards about. The farm keeps goats, chickens, sheep, pigs, ducks and rabbits that they feed daily. Kids usually like that.
Inside, it's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. There's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. The garden is enclosed. There's off-road parking.
On site, there's a shared tennis court and an indoor games room with a pool table and table tennis. There's also a small play area. The entrance to the cottage is wheelchair accessible. The bathroom isn't adapted though.
Porfell Animal Land is a few minutes' walk away. It's a wildlife park. Good for a day out if you've got younger children.
Talland Bay beach is about five miles. It's got rock pools and is on the coastal path. Looe is the nearest proper town. It's got a sandy beach, shops, and boat trips out to Looe Island.
If you're happy to drive a bit, Fowey is a great harbour town about 25 minutes away. The Eden Project is about half an hour. Bodmin Moor and the Camel Trail are roughly 30 minutes north.
