The Old Sawmill @ Sunnyside

The Old Sawmill is a detached cottage in Trevelmond, a small village just off the A38. It used to be a sawmill. We live in the house opposite.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both have king-size beds. The ground floor bedroom has an en-suite shower, and you can split the bed into two singles if needed. The upstairs bedroom uses the bathroom across the hall, which has a double shower. The beds are very good, with pocket sprung mattresses made here.

It’s a 5 Star property, which means it’s finished to a high standard. You’ll find things like a wood burner, oak floors, Egyptian cotton linen, and fluffy towels. We leave you some initial logs for the fire and a welcome pack.

The access lane is narrow and not suitable for very long vehicles. There’s parking on the gravel right outside.

The location is quiet. There’s a shop and a pub about a mile away. You’re well placed for getting around. The A38 is a couple of minutes away, so you can reach a lot of Cornwall within half an hour.

Carnglaze Caverns is about 10 minutes by car. Bodmin Moor is 15 minutes. The Eden Project is 25 minutes. The closest beach, and the fishing towns of Looe and Polperro, are also about 25 minutes away.

For facilities, it has the wood burner, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and an enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We don’t allow pets.
