Provence

Provence is a cottage on Tregrill Farm in Menheniot. It's a converted barn from the 1820s, so there are some original features. The farm is quiet, just set back from the main road.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. That's handy with a group. It has a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or children. You can bring two dogs.

The owners live on the farm site if you need anything. There's a shared games room in another barn on the property with table tennis and a pool table.

You're about nine miles from the coast here. Looe and Polperro are the closest fishing villages, a 20-minute drive or so. You can get the train from Liskeard to Looe, which is a nice run along the river. The South West Coast Path is easily reached for walks.

For days out, the Eden Project is about half an hour away. Plymouth is a similar drive for the Aquarium or the Barbican. If you want to surf, Whitsand Bay is about 12 miles.

Closer by, there's Siblyback Lake for water sports, and Adrenalin Quarry with its go-karting is less than a mile up the road. For gardens, Cotehele and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are within easy reach.

There's a local shop and a pub half a mile away. The pub does food. A restaurant is about a mile away.

Facilities wise, it's got what you'd need: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you're bringing a little one.
