Moderno

Moderno is one of four cottages, converted from old farm buildings here at Tregrill Farm. It's me that lives on site. You're in Menheniot, a small place a couple of miles from Liskeard. It's quiet here.

The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms and, useful that, both have their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, open plan downstairs. The owner's entrance is wheelchair accessible, and there's a ramp, but the cottage itself isn't fully adapted inside.

You've got a wood burner for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. There's an enclosed patio area with a BBQ. We also have a shared games room with a pool table and table tennis, which is handy if the weather turns. Wi-Fi is included. We're family friendly, can provide a cot and highchair. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.

There's a shop and a pub about half a mile down the lane in the village. They're both fine. For a restaurant, you'd go into Liskeard, which is two miles.

For the coast, Looe and Polperro are the nearest proper seaside spots, about a twenty minute drive. Good for a wander and fish and chips. The South West Coast Path is there too. Closer than that, for water, is Siblyback Lake. It's about five miles. You can hire watersports gear there.

If you want a big day out, the Eden Project is roughly ten miles away. Plymouth is about half an hour's drive, good for the aquarium and the Barbican. The National Trust has several places nearby like Cotehele.

You can get the train from Liskeard station down to Looe. It's a nice scenic route.

Parking is on site, right by the cottage.
