Alyshan

Alyshan is a cottage in Merrymeet. It's detached but in our garden, so we're next door if you need anything. It's an old place, from the 1700s. You can see the beams and the original floorboards. There's a big picture window that looks out over our stream and the fields.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. We allow two dogs. The garden is yours to use, and there's parking right outside.

Inside, it's all open plan downstairs. There's a kitchen area, a table, and a sofa. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. It's got a washing machine, TV, and a stairgate if you need it. Bedding is included.

Merrymeet is quiet. There's a shop about four miles away in Liskeard, so it's best to bring what you need. For a proper shop or a meal out, you'd drive to Liskeard.

You're well placed here for getting out. Bodmin Moor is close by for walks. The coast at Looe or Polperro is about a fifteen minute drive. Whitsand Bay is good for a long beach. If you want a big day out, the Eden Project is half an hour away. There are also National Trust places like Lanhydrock and Cotehele nearby.

If you're into fishing, golf, or horse riding, you can find all that locally. Mostly though, it's a good spot for coming back to after being out. You can sit with a drink and watch the stream.
