This is New England out at Tregrill Farm, in Menheniot. It's a converted barn from 1824, part of a group of four cottages. We live on site in the farmhouse. The cottage itself is open plan downstairs. It's got a wood burner.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. Some parts are wheelchair accessible, and there's a stairgate if you've got little ones.
You can have up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which helps with that. There's also a shared games room for the cottages, with table tennis and things like that.
The hamlet is quiet. You can walk straight out into the countryside from the door. The local shop and a pub are about half a mile away. A restaurant is a mile.
The coast is about nine miles. Looe and Polperro are the closest fishing villages, maybe a twenty minute drive. The South West Coast Path is there. Further along you've got Whitsand Bay, which is good for surf, about twelve miles.
For days out, the Eden Project is about ten miles. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a bit further. Siblyback Lake is five miles for water sports. Adrenalin Quarry, with its go-karts and things, is less than a mile up the road.
You can get the train into Looe from Liskeard, which is two miles away. It's a nice scenic route. Plymouth is about half an hour's drive if you need a city.
Facilities wise: you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
