Caradon Apt
Caradon Apt is a flat in a three-storey manor house a couple of miles outside Liskeard. You rent the apartment, not the whole house. It’s part of Rosecraddoc Manor, which is a set of apartments and cottages in the grounds. There’s a lot of land, about 38 acres, with a lake and woods.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well looked after. The apartment is on the first floor, so you go up a set of steps to the main door and then stairs inside to get to it.
The place has its own parking spot. Inside it’s open plan. There’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding is included but you need to bring your own towels. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
The best thing is probably the grounds. You can walk around the lake. You can fish in it, carp and roach mostly. There’s also an all-weather tennis court you can use.
For a shop or a pub, you need to drive. Liskeard is about two and a half miles away. They’ve got a leisure centre with pools and a gym. Bodmin Moor is close, maybe ten minutes by car. Good for walking. Siblyback Lake is up there if you want to try windsurfing or sailing.
The south coast with the beaches is about a twenty to thirty minute drive. Looe and Polperro are that way. The Eden Project is maybe half an hour. No pets allowed.
