Trezeal Barn

This is Trezeal Barn in Bathpool, Cornwall. It's our place. It's part of a barn conversion, joined to our house. We live here too, but you get your own private entrance and space.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything's on one floor, so there are no stairs inside. It's got a 5 Star rating, which mainly means everything is new, clean, and works properly.

The main bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom is a bit different. It's got a single bed on the floor and then another single bed up in a little loft space. You get up to it by a short ladder. Kids tend to love it. It's fine for adults too, if you don't mind the climb.

The living area is open plan. It's got a wood floor, underfloor heating, and big windows. There's a conservatory on the end with cane chairs. You look out over fields.

You're right on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's about a ten-minute walk up to Sharp Tor for the views. You can see old mine engine houses from here. The Cheesewring and the Hurlers stone circle are up there too.

The coast is about a half hour's drive either way. So you can get to the north or south coast quite easily. The closest village with a shop is about four miles. There's a pub that does food a mile and a half down the road. You can walk there via the lanes, or just drive.

We keep chickens, so we'll leave you some fresh eggs when you arrive.

In terms of what's here, it's all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV, parking. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a patio garden. The entrance is level, so it's suitable for wheelchair users.

For planning days out, the National Trust in Cornwall site is useful, and Visit Cornwall has good information.
