Tucked Away
The place is called Tucked Away, but honestly, we just call it the barn. It's in Linkinhorne, which is a little hamlet near Callington. It's detached and you get the whole place to yourselves. It's quiet here. Very quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a big hallway when you come in, which is good for dumping wet coats and boots. The main room is open-plan, kitchen and living area together. There's a door out to the patio.
Outside, there's a private patio garden at the back with a BBQ. It gets the sun. There's also a covered bit for storing bikes. You can park right outside.
There’s a pub about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is in Callington, about four miles. This is a proper rural spot. The beach is about half an hour’s drive, maybe twenty miles.
You're right on the edge of Bodmin Moor, which is good for walking. It’s a central spot for getting to both north and south coasts. Plymouth and the Tamar Valley are about half an hour away. St Mellion golf course is close. For days out, you're well placed for the whole of east Cornwall.
Facilities: It has all the basics. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
