The Stables is in Rezare, Cornwall. It's a detached stone cottage we converted from an old stable on our property. We live in the main house next door. The cottage is up on a bit of a hill, so the main thing you get are the views. You look right out over fields and forest, and you can see the River Inny down in the valley.
It sleeps four people. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Being an old building, the doorways are a bit low in places, so watch your head.
You get your own cobbled courtyard and a bit of lawned garden. It faces south so you catch the sun. There’s parking right there.
We accept up to two friendly dogs. There are plenty of walks you can start from the gate. The Springer Spaniel pub is about a mile down the lane. They do food. Tre Pol Pen is a farm shop and cafe a couple of miles away, good for supplies.
Location wise, you're in the Tamar Valley. Launceston is five miles north, it's got a medieval castle. You're about halfway between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Both are within half an hour for walking. The north and south coasts are each about a 40 minute drive, so you can choose which beach to go to.
Inside, it's got the things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For planning days out, the National Trust Cornwall site has good information, and Cornwall Council's countryside access pages are useful for walks.
