The Stables is in Rezare, Cornwall. It's a detached stone building, converted from an old stable. We live next door. The place sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's homely, not huge.
The views are the main thing. You're up on a bit of a hill, so you get this long view over fields and woods, with the River Inny down in the valley. The living room sofa reclines, which is nice after a walk.
There's a south-facing courtyard with a cobbled area and a bit of lawn you can use. We share that garden space, but you'll have your own table and chairs. There's a barbecue there too.
Inside, it's all on one level except for one step down into the kitchen. Useful things: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We've left a highchair, cot, and a camp bed in the cloakroom if you need them. You can bring two dogs.
The nearest pub with food is about a mile away in Tremaine. It's a proper village pub. The historic town of Launceston is five miles north. It's got a medieval castle you can visit.
You're about halfway between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, so both are within a 30 minute drive for walking. The north coast, like Polzeath or Tintagel, is about 25-30 minutes by car. The south coast, around Looe, is roughly the same.
