Coopy Corner is one of three shepherd huts in a field in Meadwell. They're spaced out so each one feels private. You get the whole hut and the bit of field around it to yourselves.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well finished.
The hut has a wood burner for heat and a small, smart kitchen. There's a sofa. The main thing is the big double doors at the front that open right up. You look straight out over farmland. There are a couple of Dartmoor ponies in a nearby field.
Outside, there's a firepit you can use as a barbecue and a wood-fired hot tub. The hot tub looks out over the same view.
It's very quiet here. You're a couple of miles from the nearest village. For a pub or a shop, you'd drive to Tavistock. That's about a 15 minute drive. It's an old market town with plenty of places to eat.
Dartmoor National Park is right on the doorstep for walking. The Tamar Valley is close by too, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Plymouth is about half an hour's drive if you want a day out at the coast or the history of the dockyard.
Facilities: there's WiFi, parking right by the hut, bedding and towels are included. Everything runs on electricity. No pets, sorry.
