Coopy Corner
Coopy Corner is a shepherd's hut in a field near Meadwell. There are three identical huts on the site, each in their own separate field. You get a field to yourself.
It sleeps two, one bedroom with a kingsize bed and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable, with a wood burner and heating.
The main thing is the view. You're looking out over farmland. There are a couple of Dartmoor ponies in a nearby paddock. You have double doors you can open to sit and look out.
Outside, you have a firepit you can use as a barbecue, and your own wood-fired hot tub. The hot tub looks out over the same view. At night, you get very little light pollution, so the stars are clear.
Inside, the kitchen is small but has what you need. There's a hot chocolate maker. When you arrive, there's milk in the fridge, and some scones with jam and cream, plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
You're quite remote here. The nearest proper towns are Tavistock and Plymouth, both about a 30 minute drive. Tavistock has a good market. Plymouth has the Barbican and the Hoe. Dartmoor National Park is close for walking. The Tamar Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is right there.
Facilities: there's WiFi, parking right by your hut, bedding and towels are included. All electricity is included. They supply logs for the wood burner and hot tub. No pets.
