Crofter's Barn
Crofter's Barn is a stone barn we converted. It's on our land, but it's detached so you've got your own space. There's a shared garden and a paddock by the river you can use.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one king and one twin. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One's a shower room downstairs. The ceilings upstairs are low and sloped in places, so mind your head.
The main room is all open plan, kitchen, living, dining. Slate floors. There's a wood burner. It's got a TV, wifi, washing machine, that sort of thing. All the bedding and towels are included.
You're right on the edge of the moor. You can walk straight out the door and onto it. The Dartmoor National Park site is good for routes. The Granite Way cycle path is nearby too.
The village of Brentor is a couple of miles away. The church on the tor is the famous bit. Tavistock is about five miles. That's where you'll find the supermarkets, a few shops, and places to eat.
You can get to both the north and south coasts in under an hour if you want a change. Buckland Abbey and Lydford Gorge are local. For a bigger day out, the Eden Project or Dartmoor Zoo are within reach.
No pets, sorry. There's parking right outside.
