Crofter's Barn
Crofter's Barn is a stone barn we converted, up the lane from our own house. It's detached and looks out over fields. You get it to yourselves.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. That’s upstairs. The ceilings up there are low and sloping in places. You'll need to mind your head, especially in the twin room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm, dry and clean.
Downstairs is all open plan. Slate floors, a wood burner, and a decent kitchen with a washing machine. There's a shower room down there too. Bedding and towels are included.
Outside, there's a patio area for you, and a shared garden and paddock by the river.
The main thing is the location. You can walk straight out the front gate onto the moor. The National Cycle Network route 27 goes right past. Brentor church is on the hill nearby. Tavistock is about five miles away for shops and pubs.
You're in the middle of Dartmoor National Park. For a good walk, The Granite Way runs from Okehampton to Lydford. Lydford Gorge is close by. For a day out, the north and south coasts are both under an hour's drive.
In terms of things here: parking, TV, wifi, a BBQ, a cot and highchair are all provided. No pets, sorry.
