Birch Lodge is in Chipshop, near Tavistock. It's one of two apartments above the farm shop, next to the Copper Penny Inn. You're on the first floor.
It's a three-star place. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxurious. It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. You can bring one dog.
The owners run the pub and the farm shop. You can buy meat and veg from them on site. The pub is right next door and does food.
It's a good spot for getting out. You're on the edge of the Tamar Valley, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Tamar Trails for walking and cycling are less than a mile away.
Tavistock is about ten minutes by car. It’s a proper market town with shops. In the other direction, you've got Cotehele, which is a National Trust house and garden right on the river. Morwellham Quay, which is an old port, is also close.
The beach is a drive, about 20 miles to the south coast.
What's here: WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
