Tarragon
This is Tarragon. It's one of the cottages at Sherrill Farm near Dunterton, right on the Devon and Cornwall border.
It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The cottage itself is comfortable and clean. It's converted from an old farm building, so there are some low beams and characterful bits. The kitchen has what you need.
The main thing here is the facilities on the farm. There are 13 cottages around a courtyard, so it's not completely isolated. Everyone can use the indoor heated swimming pool, which is open until 9pm. There's also a games room, a small bowling alley, a gym, and an outdoor tennis court. For kids, there's a play area. There are a few ponds on the 16 acres, one for wildlife and a couple that are stocked for fishing if that's your thing.
The location is quiet, in rolling countryside. You're about a mile from the nearest pub. A proper shop is a few miles drive away in Lifton.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. Dartmoor is right there for walking. The Tamar Valley is a short drive. The historic market town of Tavistock is about six miles away. The north and south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are both within an hour's drive for beaches.
Facilities in the cottage include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
