Mimi's Meadow is a shepherd's hut in a field near Meadwell in Devon. It's one of three huts on the site, but they're well spaced out so you have your own corner. Each hut is for two people.
There's a king size bed, a sofa and a small kitchen area. It's all open plan. The shower room is separate and modern. It's got a wood burning stove for heat and atmosphere, plus central heating.
Outside, you have your own wooden hot tub which you heat with logs. There's also a fire pit that works as a barbecue. The view from the hut is over farmland. You can see sheep and cows in the distance. There are a couple of Dartmoor ponies in a nearby paddock.
It's a 4 Star rating, which reflects the quality. We leave tea, coffee, milk, and some scones with jam and cream for when you arrive. There's a hot chocolate machine in the kitchen.
The location is rural and quiet. For supplies, Tavistock is the closest proper town, about a 20 minute drive. It's got shops, a good market, and pubs. Plymouth is about 30 minutes away if you want a city day. Dartmoor National Park is easily within half an hour for walking.
In terms of what's here: there's parking right by the hut, your own garden area, WiFi, and all bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
