This is Phoebe's Folly. It's a shepherd's hut in a field just outside Meadwell. There are three huts, but they're well-spaced so you've got your own bit. It's very quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a king size bed, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. They won an award for it a couple of years ago.
The hut is warm. There's heating and a wood burner inside. It's open plan, so the kitchen, sitting area and bed are all in one room. The kitchen has what you need, including a fancy hot chocolate maker. They leave you some hot chocolate, tea, coffee, milk, and some scones with jam and cream for when you arrive.
Outside, there's a firepit you can use as a barbecue, and your own wood-fired hot tub. The view is over fields. There are some Dartmoor ponies in a nearby paddock.
You're a short drive from Tavistock, which has shops, pubs and a good market. The Dartmoor National Park is close for walking. Plymouth is about half an hour away if you want a city day. The Tamar Valley area is nice to explore.
Facilities include WiFi, parking right by the hut, bedding and towels. No pets.
