This is Demelza, a cottage in a set of converted barns. It's a few miles outside Launceston.
The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The place is on a horse riding school, so you can book lessons if you want. There's a shared outdoor heated swimming pool open in the summer, and a sauna and jacuzzi. The grounds are about 23 acres, with a fishing lake. It's quiet and surrounded by trees.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner, which they provide logs for. It's got WiFi and a TV. There's a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
Launceston is about two miles away. It's got supermarkets, pubs, and a small leisure centre. The castle is worth a look if you like history. The steam railway is a short walk from the town centre.
You're about half an hour's drive from the north coast. Widemouth Bay is good for surfing. Tintagel and Boscastle are in that direction too. Port Isaac is a bit further. Going the other way, you can get onto Dartmoor in under 30 minutes.
It's a useful spot if you want to see both Cornwall and Devon without moving bases all the time.
