Sherrill Farmhouse is part of a bigger group of cottages near Dunterton. It's on the Devon and Cornwall border, out in the countryside. You turn off down your own drive to get to it.
The house sleeps twenty two people. There are seven bedrooms and five bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s a proper farmhouse conversion, so the rooms are big and the ceilings are high. It’s detached and you get your own garden space.
Because it’s part of the farm complex, you get to use the shared leisure building. That’s got a large indoor heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a gym, a small bowling alley, and a games room. It’s open until 9pm. Outside, there’s an all-weather tennis court, a kids' play area, and a few fishing ponds. You can hire tennis rackets on site.
There’s a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is a bit further, about four and a half miles. For a big supermarket, you’d go into Tavistock, which is six miles.
You’re right on the edge of Dartmoor here. You can be up on the moor in well under half an hour for walking. The Tamar Valley is also close by. For a day out, Cotehele or Buckland Abbey are good National Trust options. The north and south coasts of both Devon and Cornwall are within an hour or so's drive.
Facilities: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove, and WiFi. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
