Thyme
This cottage is called Thyme. It's at Sherrill Farm in Dunterton, which is right on the Devon and Cornwall border.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. You can bring one dog.
The cottage is one of thirteen in the old farm buildings around a courtyard. They're about three hundred years old. Thyme is open plan downstairs.
The main thing here is the leisure building. There's a large indoor heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a small gym, a bowling alley, and a games room. It's all open until 9pm. There's also an all-weather tennis court, and you can hire rackets.
The farm has sixteen acres. There are three ponds. Two are for fishing, one is for wildlife. There's a kids' play area and a picnic spot by the ponds.
You're about a mile from the nearest pub. The historic market town of Tavistock is six miles east. For a big supermarket, Launceston is about the same distance the other way, in Cornwall.
You're very close to Dartmoor. It's just a few minutes in the car to get onto the moor for walking. The Tamar Valley is also nearby, with places like Cotehele. The north and south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are both within an hour's drive.
Facilities: all the bedding is included, there's a cot and highchair if needed, TV, WiFi, washing machine, and parking right outside.
