Passion Flower Cottage
This is Passion Flower Cottage in Dippertown. It's an old stone barn we converted, so it’s got oak beams inside. It sleeps two, in one bedroom with a kingsize bed. The bathroom is en-suite and it’s big, with a separate bath and shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a multi-fuel stove in the living room and a Smart TV. The wifi works fine. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a washing machine.
Outside, it's in a walled courtyard next to our house. You park right outside. There's your own enclosed garden at the back with a patio and lawn. A gate from there leads into about two acres of our grounds, which are fenced. There's a footpath from there straight into some nice woodland walks.
We're very dog friendly. We allow two dogs. We leave out dog towels and bowls, and there's a stairgate provided. There's also bike storage in a shed by the cottage.
There's a little on-site farm shop. It stocks our eggs and sometimes local jams and pottery.
Location wise, it's quiet and rural. Tavistock is about nine miles away for shops and the Pannier Market. The A30 is a ten-minute drive, which makes getting around easy. Dartmoor is about seven miles away at Lydford. Dartmoor National Park has all the walking you could want.
Roadford Lake is five miles away if you're into fishing or water sports. Lifton, three miles away, has a good farm shop and a few pubs. The north Cornish beaches or Bodmin Moor are about a 40-minute drive. Plymouth, with the Barbican and the Lido, is about 25 miles south.
There are several National Trust places and steam railways within about a 30-mile radius if that's your sort of thing. National Trust South West has the details.
