Frankaborough Lodge
Frankaborough Lodge is on our farmland near Thorne Moor. It's a proper log cabin made from Scottish Douglas Fir. The logs are huge. You can't miss them. It took over a year to build.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well equipped and finished. Everything is new. There's a large wood burner in the main room, which is open plan. The kitchen has two ovens and a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. Bedding and towels are included.
The deck has a private hot tub under a canopy. You look out over fields. It's quiet. You can bring one dog.
The nearest pub is about a mile away in the village. Tavistock is a ten minute drive. Good for shops and cafes. It has a market on some days.
You're about 20 minutes from the edge of Dartmoor. Good walking there. The Dartmoor National Park website has routes. Bodmin Moor is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. The north coast of Cornwall is about 45 minutes by car. Places like Boscastle and Tintagel.
There's parking right by the lodge. The entrance is level and the main living area is on the ground floor. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
