The Smithy
The Smithy is a converted barn in North Brentor, just inside Dartmoor National Park. It's at the end of a country lane, right next to our house. Detached, so it's just you.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy.
You can see Brentor church from here, up on the tor. It's a 15 minute walk across the fields to get to the base of it. The moor starts about a quarter of a mile away. The front garden is yours, with a table and chairs.
Inside it's open plan, kitchen and living area together. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. TV and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one dog. We have space for bikes.
The nearest shop and pub are in Mary Tavy, two miles away. The pub does food. For a bigger shop, Tavistock is about four miles.
You're on the edge of Dartmoor here. Good walking right from the door. You can drive into the heart of the moor in about 20 minutes. Tavistock is a proper market town. Plymouth and the north Cornwall coast are within half an hour.
