The Farmers Den Lydford

The Farmers Den is a single-storey annexe on our farm in Lydford. It sleeps three maximum. There's one main room with a king-size four-poster bed and a single day-bed, an open living area with a kitchenette, and a separate shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.

You'll be on a working farm. We have three dogs, Martha, Fergie, and Holly. They're friendly and will probably come to say hello. The annexe looks out over one of our fields, where we sometimes have a wedding barn set up. You can sit outside there.

The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, and a two-plate induction hob. It's fine for making simple meals. There's a TV with an Amazon Firestick and a built-in DVD player. We have some board games you can borrow if you ask.

The best thing is the location. The driveway leads straight onto Dartmoor. You can walk out the gate and onto the moor. Lydford Gorge is very close. It's run by the National Trust and has a good waterfall walk.

Lydford village has a couple of old pubs. Tavistock is about seven miles south. It's a proper market town with a pannier market. Okehampton is eight miles north.

For a day out, the north coast around Bude is about an hour's drive. Exeter and Plymouth are both around 40 minutes by car in opposite directions.

Facilities included are bedding, towels, WiFi, and parking for two cars right outside. We allow up to two pets. It's a farm, so they need to be kept under control.
