Sage
The cottage is called Sage. It's one of thirteen cottages here at Sherrill Farm in Dunterton. We're on the Devon and Cornwall border, in the countryside.
It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. Got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. It's part of the old farm buildings, so the walls are thick and the rooms feel solid. You get your own front door off the shared courtyard.
The main thing here is the leisure barn. There's a decent indoor heated pool, a small gym, and a games room with a bowling alley. It's all open until 9pm. There's also a tennis court outside.
The grounds are about 16 acres. There are a couple of ponds, one for wildlife and others that are stocked if you fancy a bit of fishing. You often see foxes and badgers at dusk.
You're about a mile from the nearest pub. A proper shop is a good 15-minute drive away in Lifton, so you'll want to bring your basics.
Location-wise, you're right between Dartmoor and the Tamar Valley. Dartmoor is about a 20-minute drive east. For a walk, Lydford Gorge is good, or Cotehele for the house and gardens. Both are within half an hour.
Tavistock is 6 miles south, that's your nearest proper town with a market. The north and south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are about a 40-minute drive, depending on which one you choose.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, parking right outside. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair in the cottage if you need them. You can bring one dog.
