Dove Cottage
Dove Cottage is a converted barn, next to where we live. It feels bigger inside than it looks. It's for two people. There are two bedrooms, one downstairs with a kingsize bed and a twin upstairs in the eaves. It's one bathroom.
It's a very quiet spot, down a lane. You can walk straight into the woods from the back. The garden is a small, south-facing patio. It gets the sun.
We're about halfway between Callington and Launceston. Launceston has a castle and some good independent shops. You're roughly central in Cornwall here, so you can get to the north or south coast in under an hour. Bude is north, Looe is south.
There's a really good farm shop with a cafe about a mile away. The local pub is also about a mile. It does food.
Both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are about half an hour's drive. Good for walking. The river Tamar is close by at Calstock, where you can hire canoes. The train from there goes to Plymouth if you fancy a day out.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's got wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets, sorry.
