The Chrysalis
The Chrysalis is in Callington, a market town on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It's one of three cottages in the grounds of Butterbee House, so you might see the other guests around the shared garden.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom. That bedroom has a double bed, and then there's a sofa bed in the main living space. It's open plan, with high ceilings. The kitchen is new.
You get your own private patio. Then there's the big shared garden with a play area for kids. The view from there is over fields towards Bodmin Moor.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Callington itself has shops and pubs. The area is good for walking. The Tamar Valley is close by, with quiet lanes and streams.
You can drive to both coasts. The north coast, with bigger beaches and cliffs, is about half an hour. The south coast, with fishing villages like Looe or Polperro, is a similar distance.
St Mellion Golf Club is a few miles away. Plymouth is about a 30 minute drive if you need a city or the ferry to Cornwall.
For facilities: it's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
