Tamar Orchard Barn
Tamar Orchard Barn is a one-bedroom barn we converted, in Gunnislake. It’s detached. Sleeps two.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable. There’s a kingsize bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower, and the main room has patio doors that open onto an enclosed garden. You get a proper garden to yourselves, with a patio and a BBQ. It’s all on the ground floor.
The barn has its original wooden beams. There’s an old stable door you can open for air. The Wi-Fi works. TV works. Bedding and towels are included.
We allow up to two dogs. There are a few local pubs that are dog friendly too, they’re about a mile away. They do decent food.
Gunnislake train station is at the end of the drive. The Tamar Valley line is quite scenic, it takes you right into Plymouth. Calstock village is two miles away, they sometimes do river boat trips from there in the summer. Tavistock is about four miles. Cotehele, the National Trust house, is about the same distance.
You’re right in the Tamar Valley, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Dartmoor is visible from here. Looe is about a 40-minute drive for a day at the coast.
