Hillsweek

This is Hillsweek. It's a detached stone cottage in Gunnislake, which is right on the border between Cornwall and Devon. So you're well placed for both.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's whitewashed stone, so it looks like it should.

You can walk into the village centre. There's a shop and a pub about a hundred yards away. The pub does food. You can get a train from Gunnislake station into Plymouth if you don't fancy driving.

The cottage is detached and you've got your own enclosed garden and patio. There's parking on site. It's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a cot if you need one. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.

Local things: the Tamar Valley has a lot of mining history. Calstock is a pretty riverside village nearby. Cotehele is a National Trust house and garden. Morwellham Quay is an historic port. Tavistock is a market town about five miles away. Plymouth is about twelve miles, so under half an hour by car.

If you're planning trips, the National Trust Cornwall site lists their places. So does National Trust Devon. For the area, the Tamar Valley AONB site has information.
