Hillsweek is our place in Gunnislake. It's a detached cottage, white stone, so you're not sharing walls with anyone. The garden is all yours and it's enclosed.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. You get the views because it's up the hill a bit. The walk down to the village is fine, but it's a proper walk back up. Something to know.
There's a shop and a pub about a hundred yards away. The pub does food. The train station is in the village too. You can get the train into Plymouth, which is easier than driving in and parking.
You're right in the Tamar Valley here. Calstock is a ten minute drive down the river. Tavistock is about fifteen minutes over in Devon. Morwellham Quay is an old port you can visit, about twenty minutes away. Cotehele is a National Trust house and garden, also close by.
For a bigger day out, the south coast of Cornwall, like Looe or Polperro, is about forty minutes. Dartmoor is about half an hour's drive.
In terms of what's there: it's got parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot in if you need one. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
