The Little House is in Calstock, in Cornwall. It's detached, but it's in the grounds of our main house. You have your own space though, it's private. It looks out over the fields and you can see the river Tamar from the front.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up to a high standard. Everything's new and clean.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We allow one. There's a patio with a table and a BBQ. Parking is right outside the cottage.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and a shower. The bed is made up for you when you arrive. We can provide a travel cot if you need one.
Calstock itself is a quiet village on the river. There's a shop and a pub about a five minute walk away. The pub does food. There's a public slipway into the river if you have canoes or kayaks. The village has a motorcycle festival the first weekend in August, so it's busier then.
For walking, you're right in the Tamar Valley. You can walk along the river or up into the woods. It's good for cycling from the door too.
By car, Tavistock is about 20 minutes away. That's a proper market town. Dartmoor is about half an hour. The north coast beaches, like Widemouth Bay, are about 40 minutes. The south coast, around Plymouth and the Rame Peninsula, is about 30 minutes.
